Oatway Design Ltd are proud to have supplied Mechanical and Electrical Services Design and SBEM duties, for Wessex Car Homes for their new circa £3m (est) 58 bedroom care home care home based in Salisbury.
Working with Front Row Projects (Contract Administrator) we are proud of our involvement providing this much needed facility will hopefully provide suitable and comfortable care for the residents. During the design stage we remained aware of the detailed phasing of the project. Phase 1 had to be completed to allow the residents and staff to decant from the adjacent existing building, before demolishing the existing care home prior to construction of the second phase.
Our services design include underfloor heating, hot and (boosted tank fed) cold water service, local ventilation, above ground drainage, CCTV, Nurse Call system, Security/intruder alarms, artificial lighting, power and data to list just a small selection. To allow continuity throughout the project we also completed the project ‘as designed’ SBEM.
