Spotlight on LED: A Brighter and Greener Future for Plymouth!

We’re thrilled to share some illuminating news: Oatway Design Ltd is proud to be part of a groundbreaking project with Plymouth City Council! Together, we’ve successfully transitioned corporate buildings and car parks to energy-efficient LED lighting.

Key Impact:

     

      • Environmental Stewardship: By making the switch, we anticipate an annual reduction of 48 tonnes of carbon emissions – a journey equivalent to circling the earth 4.8 times (120,000 miles)!

      • Energy Efficiency: The estimated energy savings of 250,000 kWh per year not only contribute to a more sustainable future but also showcase the power of smart design.

    Financial Investment with a Clear Return:
    The entire project, with a total investment of £600k, is a testament to the council’s commitment to both fiscal responsibility and environmental consciousness. What’s even more impressive? The payback period is within the life expectancy of the LED fittings, making this a win-win for the community.

      At Oatway Design Ltd, our role was to prepare a sustainable lighting design and act as Technical Advisory to the client to ensure their ambitions were realised.
