Iconic is a term that can get thrown around lightly. This 1930s building takes a prominent place within a conservation area started life as a cinema, then music venue then roller disco and ultimately nightclub before closing its doors in 2004. It’s been left dormant until being rescued by an alliance between an ambitious female founded regeneration CIC and commercial property developers.

We worked with the developers and with the building to set out the RIBA Stage 2 mechanical and electrical services concept design strategy for the proposed ground floor fit-out/refurbishment. This creates a more stable platform in order to proceed with financing and planning approvals. The proposals create office units plus retail and hospitality area within the restrictions of the current design and layout. This will undoubtedly be  a complex refurbishment but one that will give this landmark building a new lease of life.
